Alright...
I had a WP on a Host A.
I followed the export/import database instructions to the T.
I copied the blog over to the new host, Host B.
I launch the website, and it says that it cannot select the database. It is indeed the correct SQL database name...
...why isn't it picking it up?

You edited your wp-config.php to have the new database information? Did you just copy the database across because the import/export functions wouldn't have worked if it was never connected to the DB!
