moving WP from sub domain

    I have set up a WP shop on a subdomain of my domain that I want to use for the live version. I now want to move this from the subdomain to the root folder(from dev.mywpsite.com to mywpsite.com).

    This is my first move of a WP site and would be grateful if you could check my process to make sure im doing everything needed.

    1. back up my dev folder via FTP

    2. upload contents of dev folder to root directory via FTP

    3. use http://wordpress.org/plugins/velvet-blues-update-urls/ velvet blues plugin to change any URLS that contain dev in them.

    Is this everything I need to do? There is nothing else database related?

    I want to keep my existing dev site on the dev domain for testing / development etc.
