   Hello all,

   I am currently using 2.8.3 but I wish to move my blog to a new server with a new domain name, and at the same time upgrade to 2.8.4.
   I have found these guidelines about moving:

   But I'm not sure what I need to do differently because of also upgrading.
   For example should I upgrade before I move, or should I do a new install on my new server with new domain name and then import my old blog?
   My current blog is
   http://www.kuvik.net/ztoft/playingbythebook/
   My new blog will be (domain name already registered and working):
   http://www.playingbythebook.net/

   just move the blog
   make sure it's good
   then upgrade

   Well, you could avoid the upgrade by installing new 2.8.4 at the new domain and then moving your database and theme (if you modified the theme), and then dropping your old hosting. Might want a redirect at your old domain to point to your new site.
