I'm having a terrible time trying to figure out how to convert my website. I found some tutorials online. WP doesn't seem to have tutorials in their documentation. I understand how to convert my index.php page but i don't understand how to convert my ohter pages that are not posts. I don't understand how to link these pages unless i'm using just regular HTML. I have a menu and a sidebar on my index page and don;t know what to do abut the second sidebar/menu. I am totally LOST!

This is frustrating and not very user friend. How anyone has ever learned to use WP is a mystery to me.

Are you trying to convert a static site or another CMS or what? Might also help if we knew what you were looking at. Right now you're the one who's looking at the old site and we can't read your mind.

Not everything is here. But its enough to answer your question. This is an old version that i put on my server as a sample.

It is a static site. Nothing special.

Your post isn't even 20 hours old and you've become Eeyore already?

    Moving along...

Non "Post" content typically ends up in static Pages. That link will explain more.

Assuming you're interested in "look and feel", have a look below.

    Have you looked over Stepping_Into_Templates?
Lots of info there and links to http://www.anekostudios.com/2006/09/21/how-to-create-a-wordpress-template-or-theme/
    which might be helpful.

Also, we have Theme_Development -- more good info and more good references.

Thanks for the link. I'm looking over it. Sorry for the seemingly impatience. I've been reading over this material since last weekend trying to figure out what to do. SOme of it i have read twice before making this post. I found some outside links. Tried them but didn't know what to do after i got finished with that. So I've been frustrated because i feel like I should have to ask for support on things as frequently asked as this. It should be in the documentation. But there is nothing walking you through this for beginners.

    Thanks.
