[resolved] Moving Up to Root Level (3 posts)

My WP site is currently running in a folder within my main root directory. I would like to move the entire WP site up to my root directory, thus having it take over my website and no longer just being a component of the website.

    My current site: http://www.desertsaintsmagazine.com
    My WP site: http://desertsaintsmagazine.com/dsmarticles/

If I just move it up one level, will everything crash.

I am basically turning everything over to WP and am going to run my entire website through WP, if possible.

Any thoughts? Am I crazy? Wanna join my madness by leaving advice? Thanks for any help...

    Go to Options.
You will see this address twice:
    http://desertsaintsmagazine.com/dsmarticles
    Change BOTH to
    http://desertsaintsmagazine.com

    Now Logout.

Move all the files up to root

Log back in at the new address:
    http://desertsaintsmagazine.com/wp-login.php

That's all there is to it :)
