I built a traditional multi-page website (including a blog using Blogger) for a client using Dreamweaver. I now want to rebuild the entire site using WordPress. The only element I want to carry over is the Blogger blog. Any suggestions on how to get started?

Setup a WordPress site somewhere temporary and import the Blogger Blog to it. Good way to start learning. WordPress can import directly from Blogger.

Then read up on how to design Themes for WordPress:

Also, don't use DreamWeaver. Use a text editor. It will make your life simpler in the long run.

If you want a non-bloggy looking site, check out some of the magazine type themes available. This blogger showcased some of them.

Brian Gardner's popular Revolution series isn't cheap, $79 a pop, but it may be worth it in the long run, as it is very customizable.

Of course building your own can be fun too, and the magazine themes go a long way to illustrate just how much can be done using WordPress, besides just creating a blog.

And these forums will be a great source for you as you start sorting things out. :)
