   Hi,
   I am going to be moving my site to its own server. Currently its on a shared host running unix. The company I'm looking at (Cari.net) offers dedicated servers that run Windows or various versions of Linux.

   Is there one operating system that's better than another for WP?

   As my blog was originally configured on a Unix system, would a version of Linux be an easy move?

   Yes your blog will run much better on a *nix system.

   Do you mean Linux? A particular version? The server folks suggest Fedora because it's easier to use.

   Usually *nix means Unix/Linux and it's really just a personal preference as to what distro to use. I haven't used Fedora much but I do use a RHEL clone called CentOS which works very well.
