Is there a quick way to make the sidebar go below the header in the Classic Theme by editing the style sheet, sidebar, header, or some combination?

  • what exactly do you mean? move the content down or have the sidebar (column and all) start under the header? for the former, yes. for the latter, just find another theme from the viewer.

Sorry if I didn’t describe it very well. I want the header to span the whole width of the page at top, but still want the Classic theme. I tried to make changes to the sidebar and header in the templates and style sheet but can’t figure out how to make the header span across. I looked all over the web for tutorials on tags but can’t find one that will work so I was hoping for an answer here.

I think I have it resolved but I’m not sure. I added px’s to “top” so it pushed it down. I don’t know if this is the right way.

I just wanted my blog to look a little more like my site or at least try that to see if it would work so I used Classic- the fonts are like mine. I know it’s not valid- I don’t know css or xhtml yet.
