• Hello. I want to move the “Read more” link to below the post content (below the content, not right after its last word). But there’s no plugin which does that.

    I’m using the Lightword theme.

  • do you have a link to your site?

posting the link will increase your chances to get a suggestion how to deal with your issue.

not everyone has lightword installed or is so familiar with that theme to answer your question without seeing the site.

the solution is probably to adjust the css of the ‘read more’

The link is http://consciencia.blog.br (in Brazilian Portuguese)

as far as i can see, because of the way this is build, with the bookmark plugin inbetween, it will be difficult to move the ‘Leia mais…’ to a different location closer to the content, just using css.
(a similar request in another forum ended without solution)

one thing you could try is to edit index.php and enter the ‘read more’ into the parameter of the_content()

the code and explanations are in

make a backup copy of your existing theme files (and especially of index.php) before editing, just in case, if something goes wrong, or you don’t like the change.

    Thank you very much, alchymyth.

Now i wanna know how do I change the “Continue reading [post title]”, translating it, changing its appearance and putting it one or two lines below.

Or better: I want to put an image as “read more” instead of the text “Continue reading [post title]”.

    How do I do it?
