I signed up for free on wordpress.com then upgraded to have my own domain on wordpress.com. It is hosted by wordpress.com, but I purchased a hosting account with godaddy to host my new domain instead, and now I can't figure out how to switch it from wordpress.com to godaddy. I want to be able to launch my site with wordpress.org. Do I have to make a special request from wordpress.com to change my nameserver to godaddy? Do I just have to redirect it? (I thought I was already paying wordpress.com to redirect it when I purchased the domain for $25?)
I have already looked at this link:

This is not about redirecting my blog to my already purchased domain. I've found plenty of forum articles about this topic. I need to know how to get my wordpress.com domain from wordpress.com to godaddy for self-hosting.
Please let me know if I'm being a total jerk and should be posting on the wordpress.com forums instead. Just thought you guys would have a better handle on this than the .com people. :)
