Moving posts to main blog

    I have a multisite main site that displays all of the posts from its subsites. I need to turn off that feature (that’s no problem), so it will be its own blog, not link to the subsite to display the whole entry. I need to keep 10 current posts. If I simply repost them manually, I will lose the comments. When I try to export/import them, they go back into the subsite, not the main site. Any ideas?

    Are you importing on the main site?

    Yes, I was. I gave up and entered them manually, as I realized I could add the comments myself and edit the author and date.
