I'm trying to replace the standard menu area with a jQuery mega menu that I installed. I've succeeded in getting the jQuery menu to display, but now I want to take out the standard menu.

Any idea what code I should be taking out to remove the standard menu from the header? Should I be looking in header.php or in styles.css?

    Thank you.

Are you using a child theme?

No not yet, should I be doing that?
Can I create a child theme in WordPress?

Thanks for your response, any help would be greatly appreciated, I'm taking this project on on my own and am fairly novice. Thanks very much.

    should I be doing that?

Yes. Otherwise, when Graphene is updated, you'll lose all of your changes.

Can I create a child theme in WordPress?

Not within the Dashboard area, no, You have to create it on your computer and then upload to your WordPress site just like any other theme.

    Thank you for the help,

I'm working on the site for someone else with WP already installed, so I'm not sure how to access wp-content/themes on my computer? How can I go about creating the child theme?

    Thank you :)
