I recently did a WordPress install on my web hosting company, Bluehost, and was wondering if it was possible to replicate my install locally? In addition, I also want to be able to set up a version control system for the WordPress installs through Git/Github, and have them be able to sync to each other. Is this too complicated to do, or are there any articles already on this?

Yes. Setup a WAMP or MAMP install on localhost and restore a file and database backup onto that setup. It's also great practice for restoring when the Bad Thing™ happens.

You'll have to change all servername references to localhost but that's fairly straight forward with a plain ASCII text editor.

    ...Git/Github...

Yep, can't help you there. ;)

For the git part of it, you should check out this presentation, it's really awesome and can teach you how to set it up awesomely.
