Moving from one sub- domain to the other (3 posts)

I just finished installing and moving all of my content onto wordpress. I had it installed in a sub-domain (http://draft.hippressurecooking.com ) and want to move it live to www

When I installed and up-loaded all of the images on the posts, when I view the HTML their location is an absolute path on the draft sub-domain (http://draft.hippressurecooking.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/pressure-braiser1.jpg).

I was told by my web host that I just had to change the URL in Word Press' General Settings ( "/wp-admin/options-general.php") from draft.hippressurecooking.com to http://www.hippressurecooking.com.

What will happen when I change this setting? Will all of the image paths WP put in the posts break?

I looked into a plug-in called "Move WP" but that is from one domain and server to another. I'm just switching from one sub-domain to the other.

    Thanks!

Thanks Tara, I read the first but hadn't seen the second. The second makes a reference to going in the database and updating the image paths.

Wow. This is way more complicated than I imagined. I hope I can do this with my very basic knowledge... the document lost me when it started talking about updating firewalls, routers and databases!

Wish me luck! Going to start on this tomorrow.

    Ciao,
