I've tried to move a WP installation without luck. No problem moving the blog part, but that's not the important part:
Basically I just need to move the contents/data from one of the static Pages - the Page with user forums - but after exporting/importing the database, this page is not included. (Only the blog part shows up.)
How can I do this?
To give some more details: I'm converting a site to WP.
The old site contains a html part (soon history) and also a WP part with a Blog (which shall continue as it is) + some static Pages. On one of the Pages I run some forums.
Now I've set up a new WP installation, and I would like to 1) build the site itself using WP as a CMS (all problems solved there) but also 2) include the forums.
The problem is to transfer the old forums' data from the old WP's database over to the new WP's database. (I manage to transfer the forums, but none of the posts inside them. They're empty.)
It doesn't matter if the old blog posts are included in the new WP or not; I can just delete them.
One more thing: I can not build the new site using the old WP installation, since this is still on air. (I'm building the new WP site behind the scenes and will make a switch when its all in place :- )
Any advice?
Will I have to go for a manual transfer using phpadmin? If so, can I just transfer the forum tables from on database to another?
