   Hi all,

   Firtsly apologies if this is in the wrong Topic, but this makes sense here.

   Anyways, I have been building a wordpress site to replace our clubs old one. I uploaded and installed into /wordpress directory rather than root, so i could test and build it while the old site is still active. Now I have finished, I want to remove the old site and use the ne WP one.
   I have done some reading around and came across this http://codex.wordpress.org/Giving_WordPress_Its_Own_Directory

   its seems to be a guide for doing the reverse of what i want, but would it still be the same principle?

   Essentially, WP is running in the /wordpress folder and only available at http://www.site.com/wordpress......and so could i do the steps in the link to get it live at http://www.site.com while leaving all core files in the WP directory.

   nevermind, i went ahead and tried it anyway. worked perfectly.

   this can be closed now

   You would just mark the thread resolved by using the drop down
