   I recently set up a WP blog for my school's Human Resource and Management Association. The site was set up through godaddy at http://www.chicohrma.com. I was going set up the site again on the school's server to save on hosting fees. When I tried to install WP again using a free MySQL DB from freehostia.com, I get an error stating, "can't contact the database server at mysql4.freehostia.com"

   I tried setting up a new database on my godaddy account since I knew that worked on the old server. However, I get the same error as before. I was hoping someone can tell me if this is a problem with my school's server or its something I'm doing wrong.

   i KNOW that godaddy doesnt allow remote mysql connections, which is what you are trying to do. You might want to verify that freehostia does

   OK thanks. Anyone know of a free service that allows for remote mysql connections?
