   Here is the situation. I use Dreamhost to host my wordpress.org blog. What I am interested in is how I would "transport" a blog from one domain to another.

   For example, lets say I have a blog at http://www.myblog1.com

   Lets say I wanted to transfer that entire blog including all formatting, files, themes, etc. to http://www.myblog2.com - how would I go about doing that? Is there a good procedure that someone can point me to?

   Any help would be much appreciated.

   Do you want the old blog to still be active?

   Hi Micah,

   Thank you for the response. The old blog does not necessarily need to be active. However, if there is a way to keep it active, I would be interested in learning how to do that as well.

   As far as moving WordPress goes, you should read this article: http://codex.wordpress.org/Moving_WordPress

   If you want to keep the old blog, you'll want to copy the files over instead of moving the original ones.
