Moving a wordpress site from one host to another (6 posts)

    Hi there,

I wish to move the wordpress site aldermandavies.co.uk from it's current server, blue host, to another blue host account to keep costs down.

It's important that the whole site, including all the posts, pages, plugins, users etc. are kept as they are and transferred. It's also important to keep the same domain name and URL extensions.

Could anyone out there help me with how to do this please? I have absolutely no idea.

    Many thanks,

    Snoop

    Thanks jonradio

    This line is helpful:

'If you are changing to a new server but same domain, all you need to do is edit wp-config.php with your new database/user information and upload everything as it is to your new server.'

But how do I do it?

Scroll down a bit on the same page and see the section entitled "Moving to a New Server". You'll also see a link for more info on editing wp-config.php
