I saw a couple plugins but nothing was near what I was looking for except MyTreasures which apparently is only in German atm. Anybody know a good plugin I could add to my sidebar that lists collections of movies or books or music? And something that allows you to possibly rate or review it?

I have just looked at mytreasures and although the plugin looks promising it apparently contains no code at all ... not even in German .. just an empty test file (in 4 empty development versions :-)) I wonder why it is has been published at all at this stage.
You could build yourself a review by using the plugin more-fields

It would be cool if there was something that was like a Link list.
REVIEWS:
Movies
Books
Music
Or whatever you wish...
then when you clik say dvd reviews it shows a list of movies, how many stars and a poster or cover pic. Simple. Then you can click on it for your review or something. -
I think it's simpler than it looks :) You could just put your reviews into categories called 'DVD' 'Books' 'Music' and then when visitors click on the link, each post would have a rating created by you using maybe something like Star Rating.
You can sort e.g. movies by their rating using this plugin as well. Just follow the documentation.
