    Hi,

I’m about to migrate from wordpress.com to wordpress.org.
Currently my blog in on blog.mydomain.com.

On wordpress.org I want to have multiple pages on http://www.mydomain.com, one of which should be the blog of course, hence it should be on http://www.mydomain.com/blog.

However I don’t want to loose all the internal links I built into my blog ( I think I’ve been good at it…) nor the indexing. How shall I go about it?

By the way, the real blog is blog.bilinguepergioco.com (just didn’t want the odd name to distract you from the real issue…)

Thank you so much for your help!

    Letizia

  • In cases like that I get a dump of the database and by search and replace replace all old links with new ones.
Then I import the DB, copy all wp-files from old directory to new one and pray to earl it helps.

Thank you for your answer. I’m not too good at praying but if really there is no other way around it…

In case anybody else is interested, I managed to solve this problem. Actually, the support center of my Webhost did, the Host is Arvixe.

Have a look at my blog to see how it worked out:
