I have just finished updating my site, I made a new directory as I did not want to overwrite the existing website while I was working on the new look. The main site is here http://www.mauritiusdiscovery.com/ and i set up wp here http://www.mauritiusdiscovery.com/villa
I tried to follow the instructions found here http://codex.wordpress.org/Moving_WordPress
I changed the site settings to the root directory but now I get this error and cannot do anything else.
Not Found
The requested URL /wp-login.php was not found on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
Could anyone plz help me get it to work again plz?
Thank you Naz
your .com page looks fine though. If you want to login, try go to http://www.mauritiusdiscovery.com/wp-admin

Thank you Richardwpg, The .com looks fine now as i think all the old files are still there. I only changed the url's in the dashboard settings to point to http://www.site.com thinking it would overwrite whatever was there. Now I can't log in using the link you provided or http://www.mauritiusdiscovery.com/villa/wp-admin.
I have searched the forums here and google searched the problem but i can't find the solution. The new site looks totally different from the page you see now. The old one was made with serif webplus but I wanted to include booking system hence why I decided to change to wordpress.
Anything else I can do plz? I am a novice user and felt i done quite good with the newtheme but now it's all gone :(
Thank you
Naz.

Just an update, using a FTP i download all the wordpress files to my PC. Then I loggged in to my control panel on my host and went in the file manager and deleted everything. Recreated a index.html file. I then downloaded a fresh install of wordpree, unzipped it and replaced wp-admin, wp-content and wp-includes with the one I had from my previous install. I have also overwritten the wp-config.php which contains all the details from the previous install. SInce i have not deleted the sql from my server I was able to use all the same files without changing anything. This now works perfectly. So much more easier moving that way.
Thanks for trying to help.
