Moved site to MAMP, admin redirects to localhost/wp-admin/localhost/wp-admin (6 posts)

    Hi All,

I moved over my client's wordpress installation to MAMP today. It has a lot of custom PHP and basically 'duct tape' holding it together, so it might be contributing to the errors I'm getting.

First off, stylesheets & JS are not loading and the wp-admin area redirects wrong.

I access the site at "localhost" but when I go to "localhost/wp-admin" it redirects me to "localhost/wp-admin/localhost-wp-admin"

I've changed the site_url in MySQL and harcoded it in wp-config, as well as checked to see if mod_rewrite was running in the httpd_conf .... Any ideas?

Did you follow the relevant instructions in Moving_WordPress?

@esmi I did, yes. I am not having database issues or anything like that, strictly what appears to be URL mapping.

I'm trying to debug and see if I can figure out exactly what is happening

Have you checked the site and home urls in the database (wp_options table)?

@esmi I have, I hardcoded them intt wp-config as well.

here is a quick video showing how the browser rewrites the URL - http://videobam.com/RYbUd

Take them out of wp-config.php. That's not needed. What are the site_url & home_url values in the database?
