   After uploading images to the site I get the red x box. Any ideas? Did I missing a step when moving the site from one domain to another?

   You will need to update you database to point the image URLs to their new home

   http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/search-and-replace/
   I've seen people use this plugin for that purpose.

   Also may need to check your upload path in settings->media
