moved servers, lost comments

    hi i recently moved servers. everything seems to be fine,
    i followed the directions on the codex and i have all my posts.

    but i lost like a 100 comments during the move, i’m not sure why this is.

    what can i do to fix this?

    you are not supposed to loose the comments since they are on the same database …

    can you check if you have access to phpmyadmin the database if the comments are there ?

    it might be just a problem of display ?

    it’s so weird, on my old server’s phpadmin i have 4,584 rows of data, but when i move it to my new server, i only have 2390.

    i even export the comments.sql by itself.
    then i edit it in a text editor changing olddomain.net to newdomain.com
    and then i copy and pastes the sql query in the php admin.

    yet i always lost comments. 🙁
