   I moved my blog from wordpress.com to self-hosted. A nightmare but it worked. Now I've discovered that all my URLs have been renamed, making every link that people have made to my blog stories useless (as well as self-referring links I've done in the blog).

   As an example, what was:
   http://fancinematoday.com/2008/08/18/jaw-dropping-star-wars-fan-film-software/

   now has a URL of
   http://fancinematoday.com/?p=938

   Anyone know what I can do to fix this?

   sure
   admin - settings - permalinks
   set them to what you had before
   save
   will be alright now

   Holy smokes--it worked! Thanks! I thought I was going to have to do some insane digging through databases and other stuff that I'm not comfortable with. 2 clicks is definitely more my speed. Whew!
