Moved Install, Now I Have Problems (4 posts)

Well, here's the problem. I bought a new domain name, and got hosting for it. I plan on moving my current blog domain over to the same hosting account. However, for now, I made a weblog directory at my new domain, uploaded all of my WP files, and uploaded the database. I changed wp-config.php to reflect the new database name and user / PW.

I can access the blog just fine at domain.org/weblog. HOWEVER, when I went to my admin, when I'd login, it'd bounce me to the admin of my OLD domain (joshteeters.org). I went into the admin for the install at my new domain, and changed the 'blog location' and 'blog address' fields to reflect the new domain.

Now when I try to login, I get bounced to my OLD domain plus /weblog/wp-admin, which is a 404.

    What the hell? lol.

Are/were you using permalinks? Did you also move your .htaccess file with the rest of your WordPress files? After logging in, did you reset your permalinks?

That might be part of the problem.

I am afraid you didn't really succeed to chnage those URIs. If you have phpMyAdmin access try to change the site_url and home values in options table.
