[resolved] Moved from a subdirectory without changing URL (4 posts)

So, I went to move my site from the subdirectory where I was building it and stupidly forgot to update the URL before moving all the files via FTP.

Yes, I even moved htaccess and index.php then deleted the subdirectory folder afterwards. Clearly I have lost my mind!

Needless to say, site has disappeared, I can't get in to do anything!

I created a subdirectory folder and moved everything back into it, then added the two domain name lines of coding into config.php file but still I get 404.

Can anyone help? I'm having a small freak out and wishing I hadn't touched anything now!

    Thanks.

Okay - all fixed! If anyone else does this (although I'm sure no-one else is as stupid!) here's what you do:

Login in to the mySQL database via phpMyAdmin and select your database. Click on wp_options and then update your domain name and home domain name (on second page) to what it should be.

    Then all should work!
