• I am redesigned a client’s blog that was moved by a guided transferred done by WordPress.com to be self-hosted. Now old posts are resending out to all the subscribers, and drafts and scheduled posts are receiving pingbacks, etc. I don’t know what is wrong or where/how to fix this. Is it WP or the theme or a plugin?
    Any suggestions or fixes? Thanks!!!

    Is it WP…?

    Unlikely

    or the theme…?

May be. To find out, try switching to the unedited default, core-bundled Theme (such as Twenty Twelve, Twenty Thirteen or Twenty Fourteen) for a moment using the WP dashboard to rule out any theme-specific issue.

    or a plugin?

May be. To find out, try:
    – deactivating ALL plugins temporarily to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate them individually (one-by-one) to find the problematic plugin(s).
resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems (because the hooks remain unless plugins completely removed or some plugins stick around in cached files. So by renaming the folder, you break them and force them inactive).

    Did the site’s url change?

    URL is the same.

I just deactivated “PushPress” plugin–I think it came over with the guided transfer. I hope that’s the culprit! I’m not familiar with it.

the current version of PushPress plugin is 0.7.1.2,
And is compatible up to: 3.6.1 (but you are using 3.8!!).
