   Greetings everyone!

   I just migrated one of my WordPress sites from a server running Apache to a new server running IIS7 and it is now running very, very, very slowly.

   It's the only WP site that is running slowly on this new server, but the difference is this is the only site that was "migrated", rather than being a clean setup.

   I looked at the documentation for moving a site to a new server, and I thought I cleared out all the artifacts that still point to the old server, including path references to the old file structure.

   I'm not sure where else to turn - I've tried setting it back to the default theme, just about anything else I can think of.

   Has anyone else run up against this problem, found a resolution, and would be willing to share?

   Hi Ric,

   I'm afraid I don't have a solution as I've hit this exact same problem myself. Other PHP apps seem to be running very well but WordPress is much slower even though the server I've moved it to it brand new (Windows Server 2008 r2 64 bit with IIS7.5 - 8 cores, 4GB RAM) so it should be much faster in theory.

   I've tried different versions of PHP as well:

   • PHP 5.2.12 (non thread safe)
   • PHP 5.2.3 (thread safe)
   • PHP 5.2.5 (x64)

   But no change there either.

   If anyone has any bright ideas please let me know.

   Just to add some further information...

   I was also running 2.8.6 but have also upgraded to 2.9.1 with no change.

   I've also disabled all plug-ins.

   PHP is running using FastCGI.
