I run a drupal site that I am interested in converting to WordPress. The site is in swedish called Möbler.se , its a lot of nodes and needs to be carefullt done. The reason for the change is that wordpress is easier to handle for the not so tech people administrating the site. WP is also probably better for SEO.
Is this a difficult thing to do?
Does anyone have ideas on the approach for this project or tips on where I can find more information?
It's somewhat complex.
D'arcy has an old doc from Drupal 5 to WP 2 - http://www.darcynorman.net/2007/05/15/how-to-migrate-from-drupal-5-to-wordpress-2/
There are others for Drupal 6. I don't know of any from Drupal 7 yet.

Also, does any one have good ideas for conversion in the other direction. Im thinking, is there any way I can convert a WordPress plugin to work in a Drupal set up?

No, you'd need a total re-write, since WP plugins are bound to make some WP specific calls.
