Move Posts up on Page

I am having trouble when posting new posts on my blog page. When I post a new post, it shows up behind older posts. I looked up info that said change the date ( which I can’t because it is the most current date (today), or to do the sticky thing where it publishes at the front of the page… which didn’t work either.

I just need to figure out how to have my most recent posts show up ahead of all the others.

Help needed!
