    Help!

Sorry if this has been answered, but have been searching a long time to no avail... all the answers appear to relate to those hosting their own sites, while mine is being held prisoner on a third party site.

I don't think I realized when I set up my blog that it would get eaten by the host community, and there's no feature to unlink from it from within that "wp" profile. Why is that?

I want to extricate myself from this other site, (which I have no interest in participating in) and register the domain name on wp.com!

What do I have to do? I cannot seem to log in to the .com site, yet I know it's mine. I still have the old activation key, but on their .org site I have nowhere to enter it.

Am hoping this is something that can be corrected through WP since I don't really want to have to deal with the other party and might wait forever anyways?

    Thanks!

    Hi,
You've asked this question in the wrong place.

The forum you are looking for is over here: http://wordpress.org/support/forum/how-to-and-troubleshooting

I'm a bit confused by your question.
If you can't login to your site, you may need some help from a developer.

Hi and thanks for pointing me in the right direction... I can log in to the host site alright, but don't seem to be able to on WP.com...
when I go to that page it says "nothing to see here".

So, I know it's mine, I just don't know how to disconnect from the host site to activate my .com site?

I'll try to follow up on the other page... thanks again.
