[resolved] Move data from field on one form to second form? (4 posts)

    Rookie question:
I have two forms. After properly filling out form 1 and submitting, the visitor is sent to form 2. Form 2 has four exactly the same fields, and a dozen new ones. Can your plugin populate form 2 with that data and if so, can you tell me how please? Thanks. -Pat

    Further information:
On 1st form, the email field is...
    [email* email-address]
On 2nd form, the email field is...
    [dynamictext* email-address id:email-address "CF7_GET key='email-address'"]
But when the 1st form is properly filled out and submitted, the person gets redirected to the 2nd form, but the email field is not filled in.

Yes, it can, as long as those variables are present, the source it up to you.

What does the URL on the second page look like? It would need to have the GET parameters in the URL query string for it to work.

You'd need to submit a form directly to that page with method="GET" to be able to retrieve the values. For example, if the form is redirected to that page with javascript, the GET vars won't be present any more most likely.

Do you have a demo up?

    Hi sevenspark,

Can I use the "CF7_GET" shortcode to checkboxes or they are just intended for [dynamictext]?
