I hope that is what I am trying to do. :)

    My blog address is currently
    http://aprilreign.breadnroses.ca/blog/wordpress/

I want it to be http://aprilreign.breadnroses.ca/

are the instructions on this page what I need to follow?

    http://codex.wordpress.org/Moving_WordPress

and just so I have it right, I change the urls to where I want it to be.

    I'll be using Filezilla

    so do I
Download the current wordpress files then install them directly under aprilreign?

I'm not quite sure I get how to change permalinks, i never work with them just have the default clicked.

Also I assume just like during upgrade I deactivate all plugins first?

    This part:

if you're using Default permalinks, you can skip step 11.

Another option may be to look over Giving_WordPress_Its_Own_Directory

    hi,

i'm also interested in this topic.
please tell me what is the best way for doing it between the 2 options you have presented.

what happens with the old links in both cases? if someone will try to visit a http://www.webee.ro/webeeblog url, are they going to redirect to the http://www.webee.ro url?

    thanks for your help,
    webee.
