Morning After Theme - Latest vs. Featured (5 posts)

    Hi there.

    I've installed the Morning After theme and done some customization. However, I though I recalled that the theme was to make it so the "Latest" post and the "Featured" post were not the same. Am i wrong about this? I guess I can make the changes manually by removing the Featured category for latest posts, but it gets to be a hassle. Does anyone know anything about this?

    Thanks,

    Andy

    Sure. If you're familiar with the Morning After theme there is a "Latest Post" and a "Featured Post" on the home page. Featured post is selected by checking the category of the post as "Featured". When I first came across the theme I thought I remember reading that the theme would not permit the "Latest Post" also being the "Featured Post" so that the same post is not listed on the home page twice. I've worked around this by being sure that my latest post is not checked as featured, but I thought there was some code in the theme that prevented this from happening.

    Thanks for the help.

    Hey Golfgang,

    I noticed that you were able to use the section labeled Asides on your blog. How did you do that? I cant for the life of me figure out how to enter data to display in this section. my site is http://www.acupunctureology.com. Any help is appreciated.

    @chriscurley,

    There is a new feature called Updates, I think is available from WordPress 3.0 onwards. This theme supports this feature. Its like micro-blogging or twitter.

    Just go to this section in your WP blog admin section and start adding new updates (unlike actual posts this has no title and much less options).

    By default this theme supports 5 updates.
