    Hi all,

First off, this is a super great app. I'm just starting out in the world of blogging, but soon as I make some moolah off my site, will surely try and send some your way using the donate button. Great work folks!

I updated the "WP Facebook Open Graph protocol" plugin the other day (29th or 28th Oct. 2012 I think the date was..) and today when I posted an article (the first since the update) the meta data wasn't being pulled through correctly into Facebook.. I ran the URL through the https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/ page and got the following error:

More Than One OG URL Specified: Object at URL 'http://outsidetheguidebook.com/turkey/kayakoy-the-ghost-village-free-entry/' of type 'article' is invalid because it specifies multiple 'og:url' values: http://outsidetheguidebook.com/turkey/kayakoy-the-ghost-village-free-entry/, http://outsidetheguidebook.com/turkey/kayakoy-the-ghost-village-free-entry/.

I read in one of the other threads that having more than one Facebook meta data related plugin could cause a problem. I've got the "Facebook Like Box", "Slick Social Share Buttons", "Share This" and "Ultimate Follow Me Plugin by Free Blog Factory" plugins running on my site, http://www.OutsideTheGuidebook.com.

Everything was working fine till I made the update..

Any help would be much appreciated.

...as an aside, a newbie question here.. is there a way for me to roll back to the previous version of the Plugin to see if that is what is causing the issue?

    Thank You so much!

    Karthik

Bit of an update after I did some amateurish digging around:

    1) I had a look at the page source and found that the plugin "Slick Social Share Buttons" was generating it's own set of Open Graph data. Fortunately there is an option to disable Open Graph in the settings page of that plugin which I have now done.

This removed the "More Than One OG URL" error from the Facebook debug page

    2) The original problem (relating to Facebook or Google+ extracts when posting the link there) still exists though as the correct SEO title & description are not being passed into the og:title & og:description fields..

Am using the All-in-One SEO pack and can see within the page source that the SEO title, SEO description, keywords etc are being correctly assigned by that plugin. Unfortunately, those values are not being picked up and assigned to the og:title, og:description and other Open Graph variables.

End result is that the og:title and og:description values are the title of the blog post itself and the first few lines from the blog post.

Here is an example from my latest post:

Meta data populated by SEO plugin:

<title>Kayaköy - How would you like some FREE Ghosts? | OutsideTheGuidebook</title>

<meta name="description" content="An abandoned Ghost village up in the Turkish mountains. Great food followed by a visit to the eerie ruins. Spooked at Sunset. For Free. How could anyone resist?" />

OG Meta data that the Facebook OpenGraph Protocol plugin pulls in:

<meta property="og:title" content="Kayaköy – How to get into the Ghost Village for FREE"/>

<meta property="og:description" content="Picking up from where I left off in my earlier travel secret video about the famous Tableside Barbeques in Fethiye, Turkey, we finally got done with our super s"/>

    Any ideas?

..should I be starting a new thread for this or continue here?

    Cheerio, K

Nah. Keep to the existing topic, we close or delete duplicate topics from the same author when we find them. Multiple topics about the same thing from the same person make supporting you really difficult for the other volunteers.

is this still an issue? looks like you had sharethis or one of the other ones inputting their own og: tags and messing things up

Thank You for the response mate. I had a dig around and you are correct, it looks like one of the other plugins messing things up. All good now though! :-)
