I have read the sticky thread on this and can't see anything else I can do to fix this ...

I'm still using 3.8.4 - I am getting error messages, regardless of which method I use to upload images to the website:

When I use the browser method, I get:
    Error saving media attachment.

When I use the Flash method, I get:
The uploaded file could not be moved to /home/[website]/public_html/wp-content/uploads.

The folder is there, with 755 file permission. I'm wondering if I can just FTP the images to that folder bypassing the WordPress media uploader? Don't know the implications of doing that though.

Any suggestions on how to fix this would be most welcome... Merci buckets!

This is really a tough issue to resolve, given all the threads that can be found lots of folks are STILL having problems with image uploading, including me...

I've just deactivated all plugins and then attempted to upload a new image - still getting "error saving media attachment" message.

I've tried all sorts of permissions settings on the folders with no joy.

Is there some sort of debugging procedure to follow to find out where this is going wrong?

And is it possible to just FTP a new image to the /uploads folder and then use html to insert it in a page?

    HELP!!! Please and thanks .......
