I have a lot of previous posts from one of the authors on my blog spread out amongst many categories. I'd like to have all those posts be placed into a certain category, but since a lot of his posts are in categories where there are many other posts from other authors which I want to remain there, I've been having a very difficult time of managing the mass change.
I wonder if there is some kind of function where I can tell the database that every post filed under author-X should be moved to category-Z and removed from whatever previous category it was previously in.
Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
You could just display an author archive if you don't mind leaving the posts in their current categories.

Thanks for the reply.
Without getting into the details, an author archive isn't good enough. I need them to be placed into a specific category.
For instance...
Category 1 has 250 posts, 100 of them are from Author-X
Category 2 has 250 posts, 100 of them are from Author-X
Category 3 has 250 posts, 100 of them are from Author-X
I want to make it so that all Author-X's posts from those 3 categories are moved to Category 4 without having to do it manually.
