    How can I eliminate the date and author? Will an update of your plugin then restore it? Also, can I modify css that won’t get overwritten?
    Thanks … like the plugin very much.

    Actually, thinking about it, I can make my own faq-page-template where I put the short code, that can fix the author part. Will your css overwrite if I put it in my child template css file?

    If you’re going to use your own CSS / functions, then I don’t recommend changing any of the code within the plugin itself. YES, any changes made to the actual plugin code will be overwritten on update.
