Modify Display of Date and Time with Comments (1 post)

    Hi all,

    I'm coding a theme on _S framework and am having a lot of trouble with modifying how the time/date stamp is displaying on comments.

    I'm trying to simply modify the default display (ex: April 21, 2013 at 9:32 pm) to simply say "on April 21, 2013".

    I have edited the wp-includes/comment-template.php (around line 1361):

    <div class="comment-meta commentmetadata"><a href="<?php echo htmlspecialchars( get_comment_link( $comment->comment_ID ) ) ?>">
    			<?php
    				/* translators: 1: date, 2: time */;
    				printf( __('at %2$s'), get_comment_date(),  get_comment_time()) ?></a><?php edit_comment_link(__('(Edit)'),'&nbsp;&nbsp;','' );
    			?>
    		</div>

    which is the only place I can see the output for that Div. However, none of the changes I'm making are reflecting on the site - even removing the whole print.

    I feel like I must be missing a place/file that is overwriting it.

    I'd love any guidance - I haven't made any other changes to other WP core files.

    Thanks!
    Daniel
