Mobile site looks stripped down even though theme is responsive

I’ve been having trouble with this for a year or so now. In the meantime I also changed theme thinking it was the problem.

When accessing http://www.melahart.com from a mobile device it looks really stripped down. I have no mobile theme activated and the theme is responsive.

What is weird is that when asking Chrome iPhone app to request desktop site the website looks perfect, as in the responsiveness works really well.

Another weird thing is that when experimenting with Jetpack mobile theme there is no change and the site still looks stripped down. I tried WPTouch too and event hough it overrides the stripped version it just doesn’t look good.
