I have been looking for a mobile friendly theme for ages, I have tried carrington mobile/Smooci 2 but this does not look good on desktop browser. I did try and use the force show mobile or not show option, but this kept defaulting back and forth!

I have tried Mippin/Mobilize plugin, but I have found there are external links to other sites, so I dont like to use that either!

Simple question, is there no simple mobile friendly theme available? Or is there any way I could alter a theme to look better in mobile browsers?

I have noticed a lot of people are reading my site on mobile phones, but it looks terrible on mobile phones, so I have dissabled site for the time being!

WordPress is great but most of my readers cant use my site! The reason being most of my readers use mobile phones to view the blog! What really is needed is a default mobile friendly theme!

This really is a must in this fast moving tech world!

There is problem with free mobile themes, check something like http://themeforest.net/item/simple-mobile/110202, It's quite cheap, but HQ.

Hi James I have just tried

    http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wordpress-mobile-edition/
As you suggested, but this plugin uses carrington-mobile as the default theme. As I mentioned earlier this theme looks good on mobile browsers, but when viewed on desktop browsers does not look too good!

I have decided I will try a cascading theme, or adapt one to fit both browsing options!

    Thanks anyway

  6. The plugin only serves carrington-mobile to mobile browsers. All other browsers should be seeing your currently active theme.

Hi James, yes I know all other browsers should be seeing the current theme. But for some reason this was not the case, I just do not know why!

I have just now tried viewMobile plugin, it seems to be doing the trick, tho text is a little on the small side and it is pretty hard to read! But I will keep working on it, and see if I can go with that plugin..

    Thanks James
