Mobile Browser Looks for index.html

This is really weird, my WordPress site works perfectly on the desktop but on an iPad or iPhone it looks for index.html instead of index.php and of course comes up with a 404 error.

I’ve tried adding “DirectoryIndex index.php” to my .htaccess file but no luck.

I’ve even tried making an index.html file to redirect to index.php but that just goes into a loop!
