   I'd like to adjust my custom theme's index.php so that the most recent post displays in full and all other posts display as excerpts. How would I do this?

   Thanks, moshu. I have incredibly poor search algorithms, it seems. I spent ten minutes looking through searches with the terms "excerpt" and "content" in variations. What search phrases did you use?

   first post different
   latest content rest excerpt
   etc.
