• Upgraded to WP 3.5 on several sites. The choice for slideshow is simply missing and there is no select box for type under media gallery settings. I have a site upgraded a couple of months ago and that one works fine. Is there a way to better update the media library files?

  • I noticed the same problem on my site. Any luck so far?

    Nope, would love one because I have 4 sites launching soon! Help anyone.

    I believe this is a WordPress.com feature only.

    This is the same for me. The two options “Thumbnail Grid” and “Slideshow” just dont appear any more.

    On my home page http://pattaya-bars.com is a gallery using the slideshow option but when I insert a gallery into a new website there is no “type” drop down box.

    I have no slidewhow plugins installed – these options used to appear using the standard WP gallery.

    look at the plugins you have installed in your ‘pattaya-bars’ site –

    particular ‘jetpack’ …

    I had a site built for me where the web developer did an excellent job using used WordPress 3.4.2 and a carousel slide viewer where 3 images/topics are displayed on the frontpage. (see http://www.bespokestrings.biz)

    About a year on, for some reason the menus are still on the side but the images have disappeared. I suspect some type of autoupgrade is responsible as I had not been on the site doing any work recently.

    Does anybody know how to activate/amend the Jigoshop – Overload Slider file (v1.0) in Plugins to display the existing images, as I have tried updating the file with no changes, with no luck.

    Sadly I am new to wordpress but I am trying to learn the structure and how it works.

    Many thanks to all who can help.

    @alchymyth Thanks for your suggestion but I have the same plugins on all the new sites too as I add the same ones to each site. As far as I can see they are all the same. I certainly have jetpack on them all.

    Further to last post. I dont actually have ALL the plugins but I DO have jetpack on them. Could it be one of the others?

    Here is the site where I really need the slideshow but dont have it. It has Jetpack installed but none of the other plugins.

    theoretically, activating the corresponding part of jetpack should enable the ‘slideshow’ options for a gallery;

    I think it comes with ‘jetpack’ – ’tiled galleries’

    @dik56

    you are asking in the wrong topic –

    please start your own topic http://wordpress.org/support/forum/plugins-and-hacks#postform

    or possibly contact the developer of that plugin directly for support, as this does not seem to come from http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/

    @alchymyth. Thanks i will have a play around and get back to you.

    Enable shortcode in Jetpack
