   My (left) sidebar is missing and the site misaligned the header, tags and categories from my post into the sidebar. I thought I was using 3.1 on WordPress, but learned it was 2.8.2. on my hosting site. HELP!

   The problem is only on the first page. Realized the sidebar is at the bottom of the posts on the first page and have shifted to the right side. http://www.fashionrollcall.com - I'm not sure what a site validator is. HELP!

   Problem resolved once I deleted two posts. Thanks for the rely alchymyth.

   edit: well done - that is in principle what i was going to suggest ;-)

   a validator checks if the code complies with the regulations; a valid code is less likely to cause problems with cross-browser compatibility (or crashed sidebars)

   your code has quite a few errors:

   some of which might be responsible for the sidebar drop.

   the error seems to be in this post:
   'Eva Longoria’s Stylish Book Tour for ‘Eva’s Kitchen’

   i can't tell exactly where the error is (i can't see what is done by plugins or what you entered into the editor), but if you delete this post, the display is fine.
   the post also creates the same error in the single post view.

   maybe rewrite the post, after making sure that the content is really empty (check this in tht html mode of the post editor)...
