Missing Side Menu

I noticed missing my side menu. It shows in the theme, but not on my site. Is there a setting I can change to get ot back? Obviously, there is one some where.

Also, at that time I thought to change the page layout, removed the side bar option by changing it to a single column page, and the search box came down, and ended on my menu under th header, right over one of my page links.

Any help would be appreciated.
