• After upgrading to 2.7, I lost all of my posts and pages. Thank goodness I did a back up. How do I restore the posts and pages? I’d rather not fully restore WP back to the older version. I would imagine this is an easy fix.

  • What if you rebuild/repair your MySQL tables before doing the upgrade?

    How do I do that?

Which tables in particular should I be repairing? I checked all the table that showed overhead values, then upgraded. Unfortunately, same result.

I tried repairing them all. No luck yet.

Well i successfully upgraded from 2.6.5 TO 2.7 without any problem just my WP-sticky which is solved now.

    So here’s the formula to successfully upgrade ur site;

    1) Don’t use automatic update option, do it manually

    2) Follow the intructions.

    http://codex.wordpress.org/Upgrading_WordPress_Extended

    Upload files using ur FTP

    Note: Don’t follow this rule

“wp-content folder; Special Exception: the wp-content/cache and the wp-content/plugins/widgets folders should be deleted”

    Just delete wp-content/cache don’t delete wp-content/plugins/ folder

and u’ll get fully working site.

Unfortunately, that didn’t work for me.

DrG – so you start with a working 2.6.5 database showing how many records in wp_posts table?

Then you do the upgrade and how many records are in that table wp_posts when you get done with the 2.7 upgrade?

I have his same exact issue.

I have 35 posts and 19 pages, but of those, only 3 are shown. However, on the main page, they don’t show.

I posted last night, but got no response.

    Why?

I know the issue with cron.php was having no include(“http.php”); in there for some odd reason thus the function undefined PHP errors.

    But, now this?

I have a complete 2.6.5 database that I have backed up. I followed all the instructions and steps in upgrading from 2.6.5 to 2.7, but it hasn’t worked perfectly.

Why has it worked for others but not people like myself?

Why are there undefined function PHP errors for a final release?

    Any straight answers?

I had 35 records before upgrading and then 0 afterwards. I had 4 pages before upgrading and the 0 afterwards.

Hello, I have the same problem when I upgrade to 2.7
All my pages and post are gone. Althought I have import my datadase to phpMyAdmin. I have refreshed, delete all cache but the old database didn’t appear.

when I import my database it returns to normal, but then I’m prompted to upgrade the database. When I upgrade the ports and pages go away again.

Okay DrG, if you’re up for it, leave your email address here and I’ll contact you to see if I can help.

sure, [email moderated]. email sent [MH]

I have what may be the same problem (opened another support item before reading this)

I cannot access my blog database once I have upgraded to 2.7
If I place my old config file in place I can access my database and I get the 2.7 dashboard – love it.

Whenever I add the new config file (with same data-base username details entered (double-checked formatting) then the 2.7 shows the default style template and none of my history blog posts.

I upgraded from 2.6.5 to 2.7 a few days ago. All seemed to be fine however starting today I am unable to login and all posts are missing.
