Missing post.php page (3 posts)

I'm having a huge problem with my blog.

After writing a new entry, attempting to either publish or save the entry results in a 404 page not found error.

I've gone in to my directory via ftp and checked, and the post.php file IS there, and in the wp-admin directory -- iow, it's not missing. I ran automatic upgrade AFTER this issue began, but it's still happening. No other changes have been made to my blog installation in months.

    Can anyone help?

If you go straight to yourdomain.com/wp-admin/post.php do you also get a 404 error or are you redirected to the /wp-admin/edit.php page?

No 404 when going directly to the url -- just a redirect to the log in page.

I did some trouble shooting on the post in question. I edited it to just 'test'. I was able to save and publish that post with no issues.

Added some basic test - ditto. No problems with publish or save.

Added a link to Flickr -- the 404 error code 'wp-admin/post.php' is not found.

Removed Flickr direct link, changed it to a tinyurl version of the same link -- no more 404.

Added an embedded Flickr gallery, and the 404 error was back.

I tried adding a .htaccess page with the fix mentioned on this blog -- http://tinyurl.com/4vhdx8

This resulted in wp-admin/index.php throwing a 404 error.

So, I assume this is some sort of security issue? If so, why did it only start today? Why is it blocking Flickr? That's a huge PITA -- like a lot of people, every other blog I do has a link to Flickr in it.
